Portable Toilet Types

Portable toilets come in two basic variations:
flushing toilets and non-flushing toilets.
Below is a description of the difference between them:

Flushing Portable Toilet
Flushing toilets are fitted with a flushing system of some sort, and because they flush they have a toilet bowl below the seat. The toilet bowl gives a feel similar to a traditional toilet, hiding the holding tank contents and helping with trapping smells in the holding tank.

Non-Flushing Portable Toilet
These are what most people associate with when they think of portaloos, a long drop scenario. Non-flushing toilets are the basic option out of the two, often used for construction sites where the projects are price driven. Non-flushing portable toilets have a hole under the seat directly into the holding tank.
Along with the type of portable toilet there are standard accessories fitted to toilets.
Below is a brief list of some of these variations:
- Urinal - Some toilets are fitted with urinals.
- Toilet roll dispenser - Most portable toilets are fitted with double toilet roll dispensers that can take jumbo toilet rolls.
- Hand sanitiser dispenser - Whether foaming or alcohol based hand sanitiser, most toilets have a variation of some sort.
- Hand basin - Some toilets are fitted with hand basins.
